Since 2005, I’ve worked in online communications in the nonprofit world. I’ve worn many hats over the years: writing, coding, design and strategy.
I currently work as the Vice President of Strategy for Stagecoach Digital where I help clients rethink and optimize their digital programs.
I was the Vice President of Digital at the National Audubon Society for several years, where I jumpstarted their digital fundraising program from virtually nothing to over $6 million dollars a year.
I served as the Director of Digital Platforms at UNICEF USA where I developed an organizational digital products strategy.
And I worked for many years at Environmental Defense Fund where I helped to form their digital team.
I also have done some pro bono work for some smaller non-profits:
- Reach Incorporated – They train older kids to tutor younger kids which helps both groups.
- Scott Carter Foundation – They’ve worked for year to raise money to find a cure for pediatric cancer.
I know a lot about how donors and members interact with non-profits online, and my goal is to help causes use the myriad tools available to them smartly and at a low cost. I’m a big proponent of decentralization and transparency in marketing and using technology to empower non-profit employees and donors to communicate freely.
