Mp3s of the Week – 1/8/09

I’m tired of scouring the Internet for music, and not telling you all about it. So beginning today, you’ll get my top few mp3s I come across each week.

This week, due to a continuing avalanche of Top 10 lists, most of this stuff you may have already heard. Boo hoo. If you haven’t, check out:

A French girl pouts about going after the girl who nicked her boyfriend. This is more compelling than it should be from the description. Sort of like the first couple seasons of Entourage were. (via test pilots)

As much as I don’t really “get” MGMT, I like “Kids”. But I LOVE this cover of it much much more. You’ve probably heard it, but why not have another listen? (via Hypeful)

Man, I love Okkervil River. Their songs all make me sad, but that good cathartic sad that feels invigorating. This song almost sounds happy at the beginning, but it gets you by the end. (via Indie Paws)
